Anyway, I got messed up by a tech support person that did not know what they were doing. You might want to try it again - set up another test run or something. I think someone was pulling your leg. What did not work for me was permalinks. According to their support person they do not have the mod-rewrite module turned for the economy plan. As soon as they moved the site to the deluxe plan permalinks worked great. It could be that they were just taking advantage of me but I would hope that is not the case. I know that WordPress works fine on Godaddy under the economy plan.

I have it running on at least half a dozen sites, most for clients of mine. You get the plan with CGI - it works FINE.
