Goof Board Website

The Goof Board website is an ecommerce website for a new surfing product. I had worked previously with this same client on their website so they wanted to me to work on this new endeavor.

Graphics and video were done by the client’s outside sources. I managed a group of developers that setup of the integrated shopping cart system. I am also in the process of a separate project for link building and to optimize the site for search engines.

Beach House Theme

The Beach House WordPress Theme is a custom theme with a cool and relaxing beach feel to it. The theme was originally designed to advertise a summer condo rental in sunny Southern California and was later released for free to the WordPress community. Since its release back in June 2006 it has been downloaded thousands of times and used on thousands of WordPress blogs.

The Beach House Theme has its own preview site at:

Due to its popularity and back linking the Beach House Theme has had good search engine results for the terms “Beach House” and especially “Beach House Theme”. The ranking for “Beach House” has been as high as #5 on Google before. It held the #1 spot for “Beach House Theme” for several years but was recently unseated to #2 on Google.

The Beach House theme is still currently updated to accommodate the latest versions of WordPress and is available on the WordPress Theme Directory.

The Marathon Mom

The Marathon Mom was a new website for Brandy Ferguson who is a stay at home mom. She shares her tricks and tips on raising and home schooling her 7 boys. Brandy previously had a blog on but felt limited by the available themes and plug-ins.

After discussing Brandy’s needs for her website I directed her to a few websites to select a free WordPress theme.

Brandy chose the Grunge Floral theme but wanted the color pallet and some layout items changed. Although I did not have access to the original design files, I was able to change the color scheme to her liking. I also created a custom header with her picture and moved the page navigation. The end result was a website that she likes along wih her readers.
